Opal and Dan Zehner dreamed of building the largest bar, casino, restaurant and year-round lodge in Red River, New Mexico. The first phase, completed in the late 1940s boasted twelve finished guest rooms, several gambling rooms and the restaurant, but in 1950 legislators did away with gambling in New Mexico.
Over the years subsequent owners have enhanced the Lodge to its present charm. We now have 24 guest rooms situated off the upstairs lobby. Please ask your hostess if you would like to tour a room.
Thank you for joining us at The Lodge at Red River. Please tell your friends and come back soon.
Located right next door to the Lodge at Red River, the Motherlode Saloon is the place in town for entertainment, dancing, and spirits. We also have live music every Friday and Saturday night from 9:00pm to closing, and every day during the Christmas holiday. Check out our events calendar.
No visit to Red River NM would be complete without a night out at the Motherlode Saloon. |
